National Core Standards Base line Survey confirms Witrand as the Best in the Country

Only one of 394 hospitals audited by the Department of Health met the accepted standards for cleanliness, infection, drug stocks, staff attitude, patient safety and waiting times said the Headline by City Press on Sunday 2nd February 2013 Referring to WITRAND Hospital in an article that went viral on different platforms of Media leading to various interviews with the C.E.O on what is being done at the Hospital that is different from other institutions.

The audit was conducted nationally in 3 880 hospitals and clinics between May 2011 and May 2012, to assess the feasibility of the National Health Insurance System which Dr Kenneth Kaunda Health has been earmarked as a pilot District in the North West Province.

It is a norm that at the beginning of the year, the Hospital manages to penetrate the national Media just like in 2013 Rapport termed the Hospital “Die Gesondheid wat Werk” this came as a result of the services being offered, the level of professionalism, cleanliness of the units and Grounds as reported by Rapport, confirming that Witrand is certainly the Best in the Country.

A year Later management and staff members celebrated their hard work when the results of the baseline survey were published re-affirming Witrand as the only institution in South Africa that did well in the Base line survey, and confirmed by listeners in different radio stations and letters that family, friends wrote “ i have never seen such diligence and efficiency in a government setting, from the Security officials at the gate, Administrative personnel, Cleaners, Grounds men, sisters and Doctors, Passion and commitment are what drives the employees at Witrand Hospital said one of the listeners in the John Robbie Show on talk Radio 702 after the C.E.O’S Interview.

Open channels of communications, Team work, diverse skills spearheaded by knowledgeable divisional heads in their different areas of expertise while collective management of the Hospital has vast experience in the Health sector are some of the main ingredients of what makes Witrand Hospital to be one of the best in the Country and yes there are challenges here and there but believing that working as a collective a lot is achieved contributes to the success of the Hospital and every employee is equally as important in the Health chain of making sure that all our clients are provided with superior specialised services as that results in nurturing the image as well as taking the Witrand Brand to another level reiterated Mrs Mocwaledi- Senyane on Aganang F.M, a community Radio station in Ikageng.
