Hard work and commitment by all employees in different areas of operation
within the Hospital payed dividends when Witrand management represented by Mrs
Naledi Mocwaledi- Senyane and Sr Selma Du Plooy
received yet another National award for excellence at a glittering
ceremony for Board of Health Care
Funders of Southern Africa (BHF)'S
Titanium Awards ceremony held in Cape Town International Convention
Centre on the 27th July 2015.

The Hospital came out tops after
a thorough process of validation and adjudication when it was announced the winner and scooped the
Titanium Award for Hospital Excellence in the Public Sector nationally
including entries that were from the Southern African Developing Countries

Titanium awards seek to recognise
and acknowledge excellence in the public and private health care sectors in
Southern Africa. The awards also recognize and honour those delivering superior
service to their customers, members and identify leading performers among
hospital groups, medical schemes, administrators, managed health care
organizations, the pharmaceutical industry, health-care practitioners and the
industry at large.

"We are excited about this
achievement as a Department. It shows that we are committed to improving the
standard of service we offer to our people. We are even continuing to perform better compared to some
of our counter-parts in the country regardless of the challenges we face",
said M.E.C Dr Magome Masike.

This is a result of the hard work
showed by the Hospital in rendering specialized Healthcare services, in less
than a month ago Witrand Hospital received another award for Best Managed
Institution during the South African Medical Association (SAMA) awards which
were held in Rustenburg and further it is the same Hospital that ticked all the
boxes in the Ministerial priorities baseline survey against 394 Health
facilities across the Country.

Speaking after the ceremony, the
Hospital Chief Executive Officer Mme Naledi Mocwaledi-Senyane said "The
achievement of the Hospital is part of the culture that is being practiced on a
daily basis of a patient centered approach, were teamwork, dedication and
innovation are ingredients that adds up to the success of the hospital. "It is
not due to any individual but to the overall effort of all staff in their quest
not win an award but to strive towards customer satisfaction and service
excellence, It is this vision that is the driving force that has enabled us to
be pacesetters. Both the awards are the results of hard work, dedication and
commitment by the collective at the Hospital" said the ecstatic Mocwaledi-Senyane.
